A bright and sunny day will greet Holi revellers today with day temperatures expected to hover around 33°C in the national Capital.
While the Met Department has said that summers or the pre-monsoon season has arrived in the city, it has predicted light rains on Monday evening which may spill over till Tuesday afternoon. Sunday came as a warm day for Delhiites as the maximum temperature remained at 31.6°C.
Making it the perfect weather for city dwellers to drench in water and colours, the Met Department said, “Delhi will experience a warm afternoon and sunny skies on Monday. It will certainly be warmer than usual as the maximum temperature is likely to touch 33°C.”
The minimum temperature would settle around 16°C, added the official. Due to an incoming western disturbance, the weatherman has also predicted light rains on Monday night which may last till Tuesday afternoon.
Saturday too was sunny as the maximum temperature had settled at 29.7°C, a notch above the season’s average, while the minimum was 12.6°C, two notches below the season’s average.
