Sunil converted to Christianity to make ends meet

In one night, the family of two brothers, who were found murdered on the premises of United Christian Senior Secondary School in Civil lines area Wednesday, lost everything as they were the sole breadwinners. The victim, Sunil, earned Rs 5,000 per month, which took care of his aging mother, wife and son; while his brother Anil, a student, used to work part-time job. Both were the only earning members.
They had been living in the Civil lines same area since childhood. Their father, Veerpal, belonged to Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district and came to Delhi looking for a job 40 years ago. He had to convert to Christianity for a job in the school. Veerpal died five years ago and Sunil too converted to Christianity to get a job in the same school as a security guard. Recently, the family also got an accommodation in the school’s servant quarters.
“With no bread earner left in the family, who will feed Sunil’s wife Sheela and his five-year-old sonIJ Sheela is still in trauma,” a relative told The Pioneer. School authorities have, however, assured the family of financial aid.
