leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, on Thursday requested the lieutenant-Governor to ensure that the Delhi Government stops empanelment process of Anganwadi workers with immediate effect.
Gupta further said that the Government is using arm twisting method so that they are compelled to withdraw their agitation. "It has no inclination to look into their genuine complaints like non receipt of emoluments for three to four months, long working hours and poor honorarium," he said.
Gupta also questioned the authority of the 'Delhi Commission for Women' (DCW) to interfere in the affairs of a NOIDA society. He charged DCW of crossing its jurisdiction by interfering in the matter of other States.
"The DCW Chairperson is motivated by gaining publicity even by going beyond its jurisdiction," he said.
