While a large number of complaints poured in from the aspirants trying the online route to admissions at Delhi University, the registrations on St Stephen's College website has had none of such hiccups. The authorities attribute this smooth functioning of the online admission process to their initiative of prior checking, simultaneous maintenance and modification. "We have received very less queries about the online registrations. The glitches do come in such technical system but it is important to be prepared with quick modification. We had tested everything properly before opening it to the students to avoid any panic among them," said the Technical Assistant of the college. The total number of forms submitted on Friday was 6600. KM Mathew, the tutor for admission at the college, said that students visiting or calling them were related with general queries on online form and payment through credit cards.
"We have our technical team on standby from day one. Students facing any hurdle in paying online have been directed to make payments in our SBI account Power Jyoti. We have been careful to make it hurdle free for the aspirants thus they can also make payment on the day after the last date of the submission," Mathew added.
