A 16-year-old-boy sustained injuries after he was stabbed by a group of four boys outside the Vishwa Vidyalaya Metro Station on Thursday.
A senior police official said the injured identified as Upendra, a class XI student of a Government senior secondary school in Maurice Nagar area of North Delhi, was heading towards the metro station with two of his friends when a group of boys allegedly assaulted them.
Police said in recent times, Upendra allegedly had a heated argument with a group of boys of another Government school. After Upendra was stabbed, a group of CISF officials present inside the metro station was informed by the passengers who in turn rushed the injured to the Bara Hindu Rao hospital, said police.
Doctors said Upendra sustained stab wounds on his stomach. While two of his friends were discharged after treatment.
Police said they are scanning the CCTV footage to ascertain the exact sequence of events. Police said they have registered a case under relevant Sections of the IPC at the Maurice Nagar Police Station.
