Delhi Jal Board Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vijay Kumar, 1992 batch officer, has been transferred to Food and Supplies department as Secretary-cum-Commissioner. He has replaced SS Yadav, 1995 batch IAS officer. Yadav will be the new CEO of the Delhi Jal Board. Meanwhile, lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung is yet to finalise name of bureaucrat who will replace Nutan Guha Biswas, who has been transferred to the Central Government.
The names of SCl Das (principal Secretary Health), Arun Baroka (principal secretary PWD) and former Chief Secretary SK Srivastava are doing the rounds for Raj Niwas. Sources in the Government said the Arvind Kejriwal Government wants to retain both Yadav and Kumar in Delhi as both are considered close to Kejriwal.
There is also possibility that the AAP Government may appoint Kumar as commissioner of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation in place of Amit Yadav to improve financial health of the corporation. The State Government is going to write to the MHA. The Ministry of Home Affairs has recently issued order transferring of Yadav from Delhi to Puducherry. The MHA is unable to finalise the name to replace Jalaj Srivastava as New Delhi Municipal Council chairperson.
