A senior Delhi Government officer has lodged a written complaint against another official at Civil lines police station in North Delhi. The complaint has been sent to all the concerned senior police officials, including the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Chief Secretary of Delhi.

In his complaint, Kuldeep Singh Gangar, the Executive Director with Delhi Tourism Infrastructure Development Corporation (DTIDC), has alleged that Shamim Akhtar, an officer of Delhi Andaman Nicobar Islands Civil Services (DANICS) had threatened him with dire consequences, misbehaved and hurled filthy abuses at him. However, no case has been registered till now as senior officers of Delhi Government were trying to broker peace between the two officers as they live in the same building at Rajpura Road.

According to a senior police official, Gangar called the Police Control Room (PCR) around 11 pm on Monday that Shamim Akhtar, who resides on the second floor of the Delhi Government officers’ flat at Rajpura Road, had threatened him. Gangar submitted a written complaint to the Station House Officer (SHO) Civil lines police station on Tuesday that Akhtar pressed his door bell repeatedly and when he went to the gate, Akhtar started abusing him. Akhtar was posted as Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of North district.

Gangar alleged that Akhtar used highly-derogatory language to him and to his wife and asked him to vacate the house lest he faces the music. In his complaint to the Delhi Chief Secretary and other senior officials, Ganger has alleged that Akhter has a past history of bad behaviour and he has been taken to Institute of Human Behaviour Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Dished Garden for treatment for his abusive and violent behaviour.

Meanwhile, DCP, North Sindhu Pillai said that Gangar did submit a written complaint to the SHO, Civil lines but did not press for the registration of a case as he has taken up the issue with the Delhi Government.
