In a major embarrassment for the Delhi Congress, the party lost its official website as the site administrator Sanjay Puri decided to quit from his post. The website www.dpcc.co.in now displays a message saying that Puri has withdrawn his services after his resignation from his primary membership of Indian National Congress on January 19, 2015. The site was developed and maintained by Sanjay Puri since 2008.
Puri was seeking ticket from Janakpuri Assembly seat. He resigned in protest of giving party ticket to Suresh Kumar, son-in-law of senior BJP leader Prof Jagdish Mukhi. Puri was not only administering DPCC website but also the AICC website. The setback for the party comes just ahead of the Assembly elections in the national Capital on February 7.
