Two days before the murder of real estate baron and politician Deepak Bhardwaj, his younger son, Nitesh Bhardwaj warned his friend-cum-advocate Baljeet Singh Sehrawat to execute their plan immediately.
He even asked him to refund the advance that he had paid to him if he failed to execute the contract. Police sources said that Nitesh confessed during the investigation that he was extremely disturbed as his plan was not taking shape and Sehrawat was taking longer to execute the plan.
He also told the investigators that he was disturbed as the hired contract killers were not able to accomplish their meticulous plan even after two failed attempts. On the other hand, his father Bhardwaj was humiliating him every now and then and that too his mother in the presence of his women friends.
“On March 24, Nitesh warned Sehrawat to eliminate his father as soon as possible as after Holi, Deepak Bhardwaj was planning to make his ‘will’ in favour of a woman with whom he had maintained liaison for long and he wanted to stall him to prepare a ‘will’,” the sources added.
“Due to the pressure of Nitesh Bhardwaj, Purushottam Rana had not even changed the number plate of Skoda laura car and they finally landed in Deepak Bhardwaj’s farmhouse cum hotel ‘The Nitesh’ at Rajokari. They entered inside the on the pretext of booking a hotel for Holi celebration function and later they gunned down Bhardwaj,” sources said. It was the foolishness on part of the hired killers that helped the police in identifying the owner of the car within an hour of the murder being committed.
Police sources also said that Nitesh and his associates Baljeet and Machendranath, alias Swami Pratib
hanand has contacts with several prominent persons. “They had planned that the investigators will probe the role of some notorious criminals and they will not investigate their role. In any case, if they will come under their scanner of the investigators so they will use their high profile links,” the sources added.
Nitesh also disclosed that in December 2012, Baljeet along with Swami came outside their Shiksha Bharti School in Dwarka where he met Swami for first time.
“Swami told him about his criminal background and also assured that his sharp shooters will definitely eliminate his father,” sources said. The mystery behind planned conspiracy was decoded, when the STF scanned CDR of all suspects and managed to cull out conspirators from a maze of suspects. Police now intends to identify the money trail to build a water tight case against the accused persons as that would prove the motive behind the killing.
