The prime accused involved in the East Delhi’s kidnapping for ransom-cum-murder case wanted to become an actor. Pratap had even gone learnt acting at ICE Institute in Mumbai. He also met a girl there who he fell in love with and got her to Delhi along with him.
The girl is now the prosecution witness for Delhi Police as she was living-in with Pratap at their rented accommodation in East Angad Nagar. The police is also planning to take action against the mobile operator company for activating the SIM cards on fake identity cards.
Pratap and Siddharth came in contact with each other around three years back. They shared the same thoughts and then started drinking together and their friendship grew from thereon.
The girl who claimed that Pratap’s parents also knew about her and they were to get married was present in the house as well where Utkarsh was kidnapped and brought to. The girl, who is stated to be a model and supposedly preparing for her Civil Services examination, stated that she did not know anything about the plan and nor she was a party to it.
“The girl is a prosecution witness now. She said that she was locked inside a room when the two accused had brought the child home. She only managed to see a glimpse of the duo with the child and suspected something amiss. She claimed that they went to dump the body in the early hours itself,” said a police officer.
Sources revealed that the child was constantly given doses of Alprax to remain unconscious. The two accused had smothered him to death and also hit him several times. It wasn’t the blows rained on him by the killer duo that snuffed the life out of poor Utkarsh but his inability to breathe under water.
