Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying it turned Delhi into a pile of garbage in last 15 years.
The BJP, which was in MCD for 15 years, turned the country's Capital into a pile of garbage and the capital of stray animals," Sisodia's tweet read.
"This time the public will form @ArvindKejriwal government in MCD also to make Delhi clean and beautiful,” he wrote further.
Sisodia also said that no matter how much BJP conspire but they can not stop 'Dilli ki Yogshala'. "This is the result of @ArvindKejriwal ji's efforts of making yoga a people's revolution, that today yoga has reached the poorest of the poor", he said in subsequent tweet.
"Kejriwal ji's resolve to make Delhi healthy with yoga will never stop. No matter how many conspiracies the BJP does, it will not be able to stop the Yogshala of Delhi", Sisodia added in the same tweet.
As part of its campaign, the AAP repeatedly targeted the BJP over its "failure" to clear the three landfill sites in Delhi's Ghazipur, Okhla and Bhalswa during its tenure in the municipal corporation.
“People of Delhi believe that if Kejriwal runs MCD, only then the garbage will be cleaned from the city. On December 4, Delhiites are going to form the AAP government in the civic body by sweeping the saffron party clean with a Jhaadu,” it read.
“Delhiites will form the Kejriwal Government by electing each councilor from AAP in MCD to get rid of BJP's politics of littering the city. If there is Kejriwal Government in the municipal corporation, then Delhi will be garbage free, problems of employees will be resolved, stray animals will get homes, all works of the corporation will be done fast,” the AAP has said in its statement after the campaigning end on Friday evening.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia held a town hall with 400 traders to discuss issues faced by them while dealing with the civic body.
