The Ghaziabad District Magistrate (DM) has recommended to shut down the Dasna toll bridge run by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) here about 20 kilometer from Delhi on NH 24.
DM Ritu Maheswari in her recommendation to the chairman of NHAI stated that in view of poor performance of Dasna toll bridge and newly up comes second toll bridge installed by Eastern peripheral Expressway (EPE) in the same periphery is the reason to recommend the same. Talking to The Pioneer she said Dasna toll bridge is not performing financially well what I am told. And the second reason is that EPE has installed a second toll bridge. The chairman of NHAI will take the final decision added the DM.
In her second major order the heavy traffic from NH 58 to Meerut is diverted towards NH 24 via Hapur in peak hours.
