A 17-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped in Noida’s Kanawani village on Wednesday. Police said the victim had gone to a general store when shopkeeper Anil Nagar lured her on the pretext of offering her an Aadhaar card.
Finding the girl unescorted, Anil pulled her inside the shop and took her to a backroom where he raped her while his accomplice Mohit stood guard outside the shop. The duo then dumped the girl outside her house warning her of dire consequences.
On the complaint lodged by the minor’s parents, police have registered an FIR at Sector 58 police station. “We have registered a gang-rape FIR and sent the victim for a medical exam. Both the accused are behind bars. If need be, we will provide counselling to the victim,” said a senior police officer.
The victim’s parents hail from Badaun district and have been staying here on rent. Her father works as casual labourer while her mother is a domestic help.
