A prostitution racket, operating in a spa in E-block of Sushant lok, was busted on Thursday. The police raided the spa after getting a tip-off that a sex racket was being operated from there.
Two women and a man have been arrested and booked under different sections of the Immoral Trafficking Act.
Acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted at the E-block by a police team, led by Inspector Jaswant Singh, who reached the spot at around 5:00 pm and arrested two women and a man. The spa would charge Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per customer for the services, said a police officer.
There were many complaints with the police about a prostitution racket being carried out in the spa. "At the time of the raid, room in the spa was occupied where a woman and man were found in objectionable position," police said.
The accused were arrested for alleged involvement in sex trade. "We have registered an FIR and further probe is underway," said inspector Jaswant Singh, the investigating officer (IO). They were later produced before the concerned court and sent to Bhondsi jail, the IO added.
