Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed that students in neighbouring Noida are actively involved in the business of peddling banned hallucinogens like lSD. Anmol Sarna and his crew had procured the drug from a dealer, also a student of a private university, for Rs7,000 a hit. Investigators said that they were conducting investigation to identify the drug peddlers and more arrests are likely.
According to police, Anmol Sarna and friends had wanted their fix. They had been planning a rave party since the last few days. “Madhav had found out that the drug could be bought from a source in Noida. On September 11, Madhav, Anmol and Shivang bought five doses of the blotter acid from Noida Sector 18. They had planned their jamboree for September 13 evening at Pranil’s house,” said DCP Dr P Karunakaran.
As of now we have only questioned two people in their early 20s who are also pursuing a course at a private university and moonlighting as drug dealers. “We are trying to figure out who is the main supplier,” the DCP added.
“Cannabis and marijuana are drugs which are easily available. To get lSD, (Stamp its street name) is easy but dealers are few and the drug is brought from Delhi or Gurgaon,” said a student on condition of anonymity.
lSD is typically delivered orally, usually on a substrate such as absorbent blotter paper, a sugar cube, or gelatin. In its liquid form, it can also be administered by intramuscular or intravenous injection.
