A 7-year-old boy was found murdered under mysterious circumstances with his throat slit in Outer Delhi’s Kirari area under the jurisdiction of Aman Vihar police station on Friday. The body of the child was found wrapped in a sari.
Police is investigating the case from many angles. They suspect it to be a case of sodomy or black magic. The child had gone missing on Thursday evening.
A missing report was lodged in Aman Vihar police station by the parents after they failed to locate the child. The missing report was converted into a case of murder after the child’s body was recovered.
According to a senior police official, the deceased has been identified as Prince, who was missing since Thursday evening and was found by a passerby on Friday afternoon.
“Prince had gone to play with his neighbour, as young as him, but did not return home. Prince’s parents searched for him a lot and then they finally filed a missing complaint at the police station,” said the official.
A passerby on Friday afternoon found Prince’s body wrapped in a red sari with his hands and legs tied and throat slit.
He immediately called and informed the police who came to the spot and rushed it to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. Police sent the body for post-mortem after that.
Prince’s parents claim that they had no personal enmity with anyone that someone would murder their child in order to take revenge.
When asked if a tantric could be involved in the murder as he was wrapped in a unique kind of cloth, the police official said that they are investigating that angle but can only ascertain the actual reason of murder after the post-mortem results.
“We had initially registered a case of missing and after the body was found we registered a case of murder and are investigating the matter from all angles. Further investigations are on,” said Vikramjeet Singh the DCP of Outer district.
Earlier, an eight year old girl was kidnapped from Kirari by a youth who lived in the neighbourhood. The youth had taken the girl to a nearby place and raped her. She was abandoned by the rapist and left to die. The girl however survived and the rapist was identified on the basis of the CCTV footage.
