The serial rapist and murderer, Ravinder Kumar, has no remorse for his wrongdoings. During interrogation in the police custody, he does not show any sign of regret despite being quizzed for hours. The interrogators told The Pioneer that he is singing like a canary and told them about his involvement in some new cases. Several teams of the Delhi Police have also been sent to Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to collect the evidence into the cases in which his involvements have surfaced. So far, the Delhi Police has claimed his involvement in 32 cases.
Ravinder was arrested on Saturday in connection with the rape and murder of a minor girl in outer Delhi’s Begumpur area. On Monday, he disclosed about his involvement in some more cases in Uttar Pradesh. He told that he used to locate the girls and lured them with toffees and money. He also claimed that with some of the minor girls he had made sexual relations with their consent.
The Pioneer had reported that he got the idea of committing crime by watching porn clips on his mobile phone. Cops have recovered eight such movie clips in his mobile phone. He was a habitual sex offender and was in a habit of killing the girls, police said.
During interrogation, he narrates his sordid tales without any sign of repentance for of his wrongdoings. “He is even happy and often asks food and eatables in the police custody,” said a police officer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikramjeet Singh told The Pioneer that in coming days his involvements in more cases might surface. “We have sent our teams to the places in UP and Haryana where he had committed crimes. The Delhi Police will not leave any stone unturned in making the watertight case,” said Singh. Ravinder is in police custody for five more days.
