A 70-year-old ex-serviceman was stabbed to death by two assailants on a bike in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar area on Monday night. The killers managed to flee the spot unchallenged. The victim was stabbed repeatedly and died due to excessive bleeding.
The killers are yet to be arrested as the local police have not been able to establish their identity as yet. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination and the report is awaited. Strangely, the assailant did not rob the ex-serviceman. Police is mulling over the theory of personal enmity or a property dispute behind the murder of the senior citizen.
According to police, the incident took place on Monday night at around 8.45pm. The ex-serviceman, identified as Paras Ram Punj (70), had gone to Sudarshan Park for an evening stroll.
