New District Magistrate of Ghaziabad Nidhi Kesarvani assumed office on Wednesday.
She said “security of women and enforcement of rule of law will be her top priority.” She directed officials to monitor Government schemes and ensure timely completion of ongoing works.
The new District Magistrate is from the 2004 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). She assumed the charge from Vimal Kumar Sharma.
Earlier, she had served as District Magistrate in Ambedkar Nagar, Sravasti, Bulandshahr, Etah and Ferozabad districts of Uttar Pradesh. She has also served as Special Secretary in Uttar Pradesh administration in lucknow.
