A 29-year-old female attendant was molested by security guard inside the female toilet of Ram Manohar lohia Hospital on Wednesday, according to police. The victim had come with her husband who was admitted in the hospital on October 24, said police adding that they have arrested Amod Kumar Chaudhary following the complaint lodged by the victim.
The incident came to fore when the victim went to a washroom located at the third floor of the Trauma Centre when Chaudhary followed her and misbehaved with her on Tuesday around 10 pm, said police. One of the persons who witnessed the incident made a PCR call and informed police.
According to preliminary report from the hospital, a police team reached the spot and lodged a case against the accused. “Security Guard Amod Kumar Chaudhary has been terminated from his duty with immediate effect,” said the report. Chaudhary, 23, is a resident of east Delhi’s Mandawali area. A case under section and 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against him at Mandir Marg police station.
