The BJP-led South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to set up a call centre, through which citizens can get information about the civic services offered and lodge complaints in that regard, a senior official said on Friday. Newly-elected chairman of the SDM’s standing committee Subhash Arya made this announcement in a meeting of the panel. “In this call centre, all information related to the corporation will be available to citizens and they can also register their complaints and problems,” a SDMC statement quoted Arya as saying.
Earlier speaking after being elected unanimously the chairman, Arya said that the party has “given me this crucial responsibility and I will do my work with dedication and honesty.” “My first objective will be to work for the Swachchh Bharat mission started by Prime Minister Modi. We will try to strengthen the sanitation system in the areas under the jurisdiction of SDMC,” he said.
