To provide quality medical care to weaker section of society, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to equip eight of its dispensaries with laboratory and imaginary facilities where the entire blood related test such as blood sugar, culture, hemoglobin, blood group etc. and common and other required x-rays will be available at Government approved rates.
The leader of the House in SDMC Shikha Rai said that the SDMC is ready to add various facilities in dispensaries run by it. The facilities will be developed in two dispensaries in every zone so that the maximum patients approaching the dispensaries for treatment can availed the benefit. She also stated that all blood related test will become within the reach of common men and now they will get rid of hefty expenses on this head.
A senior SDMC official said that the facilities will be developed on 'Public Private Partnership' modal to ensure quality health services to the people. "Since, the patients visiting SDMC's dispensaries are mostly from the economically weaker sections and others who are unable to pay higher charges for the investigations and reliable treatment so the idea of providing testes and common imaginary investigation under PPP model will facilitate the patients to get all these investigations at reasonable rates," he said.
