In an attempt to improve ranking in the Swachhata Sarvekshan, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to facilitate free usage of public toilets at all petrol pumps under its jurisdiction. Kamaljeet Sehrawat, SDMC Mayor said the Corporation will make functional toilet at petrol pump mandatory for issuance of the municipal license.
"We will not hesitate in taking action against the defaulting petrol pump owners. The licensees will be bound to implement the instructions," she said.
"The toilets at the petrol pumps will be clean and well maintained and open for the public during the petrol pumps are working. Uninterrupted water supply at the toilets would be ensured," she added.
