The SDMC on Wednesday created a record of sanctioning building plan in the shortest possible time of 27 minutes 13 seconds under ease of doing business initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Online sanction of building plans through (Single Window Clearance System) SWCS was started in April 2016 after putting in place a well oiled mechanism to deal with the online applications received and to ensure a transparent, fast and reliable mode of disposing the building plan applications through single window clearance system.
SDMC Commissioner, PK Goel said that the Corporation has achieved a marvelous feat by sanctioning building plan in the shortest possible time.
“All 200 building plans have been sanctioned the day applications received. More than 2,200 building plans have been sanctioned online since April 2016. All the documents, circulars, building bye-laws and master plans are available on Corporation website www.mcdonline.gov.in,” he said.
“The SDMC being a nodal corporation for facilitating ease of doing business, has undertaken major reforms to offer a common application form online, putting an end to the visits to several MCD offices,” said a senior Corporation official.
“Mukesh Gupta and others have been sanctioned a building plan in just 27 minutes and 13 seconds after filing online application. The number of plan sanctioned within a single day by the corporation stands at more than 200. Recently North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) had sanctioned building plan of Suresh Chand Jain and Shakuntala Jain in just 30 minutes and it also sanctioned plan Veena Anand, in 48 minutes. Further he East Corporation sanctioned building plan to Kanta Aggarwal in 48 minutes,” he added.
