Days after murder of dentist Dr Pankaj Narang in Vikaspuri, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Sunday offered a job to deceased’s wife Dr Shelly Narang in Corporation’s hospital.
The Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled SDMC leaders had met the family on Saturday and had demanded to constitute a special court for the speedy trial of the accused in the murder of the dentist.
Satish Upadhyay, Delhi BJP president and a councillor in the SDMC, made the announcement of offer of a job. Upadhyay said on Saturday during our delegation’s visit to Narang family’s home, the local RWA office bearers put across to us three demands related to security concerns of the colony and we talked to the Police Commissioner and the Mayor and Commissioner of SDMC on the issue.
The BJP president announced that Police Commissioner has assured that a police picket point will be erected for the Colony immediately.
The SDMC has promised all help in putting up security gates and setting up CCTV network to ensure safety steps for the residents.
