In an interactive session, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) Mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat on Friday interacted with the local residents at Uttam Nagar to get to the bottom of problems related to civic issues. The session was conducted as part of the Delhi municipal corporations' “MCD Aapke Dwar” programme.
Sehrawat said that the purpose of the programme is to provide an opportunity to establish an easy and effective link between the civic body and the residents and also provides opportunity to get a realistic feedback from the local residents about various welfare schemes.
Addressing the gathering Sehrawat said that the SDMC is committed for the welfare of the masses. “It has not increased any tax and charges in the budget presented and approved during last month,” she said.
She further said that a mechanism has been put in place to monitor the problems of the citizens received during interaction.
