The south district police have arrested two men in connection with the case in which a South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) official was purportedly assaulted by alleged AAP workers near the Deputy Commissioner (DC) office of south zone in Green Park on Monday. The accused have been identified as Mobin Ali (37) and liyaqat (50).
The incident took place on Monday when Ashok Kumar, an executive engineer with the South Delhi Municipal Corporation, was allegedly beaten up by around four men who were protesting against the demolition of buildings in Hauz Khas area in South Delhi. In his complaint about the incident, the executive engineer claimed that he was beaten up by four people who were allegedly wearing AAP topis and were protesting outside the office. An FIR was registered at Safdarjung Enclave police station.
