However, no arrests have been made in the case yet.
Meanwhile, secretary of Supreme Court Bar Association Gaurav Bhatia said, " I am aware of the allegations and our stand is with the lawyer, who has been accused in the FIR. Although facts need to be verified as well."
"The accused has taken advantage of me being alone in Delhi. Every now and then he would touch me indecently in his chamber in the SC. Sometimes he would call me to his home as well and do the same. I have complained to police many times but he would plead in front of police, make false promises and rescue himself. He had even written a letter, which is with me, where he said he would not harass me anymore," alleged the victim.
The victim further said he used to mentally harass her and take advantage of her. "He kept mentally torturing me by saying that he had my nude photo and would release it on the internet. He also repeatedly asked for physical favours from me. As his demands were not met, he would constantly threaten and blackmail me and would insult me in front of his colleagues," said the victim.
The victim, unable to bear such humiliation registered a complaint to police, after which on October 23, the accused allegedly physically assaulted her in a chamber in Supreme court. The victim called police from the chamber, said sources.
A senior police official said, "After we received a call from the victim, a police team was sent to the spot and the lawyer was brought to the Tilak Nagar Police station for questioning."
The victim also alleged that she was beaten up by the friend of the accused outside the Tilak Nagar Police Station that day and her hair was also pulled.
