A 30-year-old software engineer working with Samsung was brutally beaten to death in Noida Extension on Wednesday night. Police found the body with guts spilled. Police identified the deceased as Raghvendra Yadav, a resident of Vasundhara in Ghaziabad. According to the police, Raghvendra had left work at 11 pm on Thursday but never reached home.

The family informed police and a missing person’s diary was lodged at Phase-II police station the next day. Police registered a case of murder after sending the body for a post-mortem exam and have started investigation. “We have been scanning the call details and are questioning his co-workers. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of personal enmity. He has been divested of his personal belongings,” said a police official. Rahul Yadav, the deceased’s brother, has blamed police inaction for Raghvendra’s death. “Since he did not reach home by midnight, I reached the police station. Rather than take action, police detained me. They released me only after my family reached the police station,” he said.
