The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is making all efforts to ensure that people remain hooked to its popular housing scheme, which it announced recently. For the convenience of the prospective buyers and applicants, the housing agency has come up with the provision of the applicants visiting sample flats.
The DDA on Saturday issued a public notice informing that those interested can now visit the sample flats at various locations covered under the Housing Scheme 2014. The agency, however, also cautioned the prospective purchasers of forms not to buy them from any unauthorised persons but from the 13 empanelled banks and DDA office only.
According to the notice, the sample flats can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday between 11 am to 4 pm At Dwarka Sector 23, the sample flat is flat no. 02, Block A-1; at Narela, Pocket 2 the sample flat open for visit is at Block E-1 while in Narela Pocket 3, it is at Block A-1. At Rohini Sector 35, the sample flat is at Block B-2.
The DDA officials dismissed rumours that many people have been sold sample forms. “These are baseless talks and nothing more than rumours. No such thing has come to our knowledge,” a senior DDA official said. The housing agency also went on to issue an advertisement cautioning people to buy forms from listed banks or DDA office only.
The reasons for the rumours to crop up was the fact that over the weekend, most of the 13 empanelled banks ran out of application forms for the DDA mega housing scheme 2014, forcing people to queue up at the DDA office. The public notice informs that all application forms have a serial number, bar code and a security feature, which is not visible to the naked eye and only such forms would be included in the draw. The advertisement also said prospective applicants can now visit a sample flats till the closing of the scheme on October 9.
