Sadly, Delhi Police cannot pick Tunda's brains

Sadly, Delhi Police cannot pick Abdul Karim Tunda’s brains. Delhi Police’s plea to conduct brain mapping test of 26/11 brains — Tunda — was dismissed by a Delhi court on Thursday after the arrested top leT bomb expert refused to give his consent citing old age and health as reasons.

“I am a person of about 72 years of age and I am suffering from various aliments. Recently a pacemaker has also been implanted and I am suffering from high blood pressure. Given my medical condition, I do not want a brain mapping test conducted on me,” said Tunda, who was produced before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Amit Bansal.

“I specifically decline my consent for the brain mapping test on me. I understand the meaning and consequences of this,” Tunda told court.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police had on Wednesday moved an application in court seeking permission to conduct Tunda’s brain mapping test in a bid to unearth the network of his handlers in India and Pakistan.
