A 30-year-old driver died in a freak accident at a DTC depot in South-West Delhi's Dwarka area after being run over by a driverless bus on Sunday.
The driver, identified as contractual DTC employee Bhoj Singh, was run over by the bus with its engine on, which was undergoing repair at the depot in Sector 2, Dwarka. The bus started moving all of a sudden and ran over Singh before hitting a building in the depot around 11 am, police said.
He was rushed to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. A case has been lodged and investigation is on, said a senior police officer.
