Though she did not tell us about this herself, her friends told us. She topped in the second year of her college. She was good at studies and had scored good marks in Class XII as well," said her brother Sudhir Gupta, who flew down from Bangalore to see her.

He added, "We are four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. She was the youngest. I want her to recover soon. The doctors have told us that she is showing eye and hand movements,” he added. Roshni's father has a small textiles business.

Meanwhile, Aakash's body was handed over to his brother Arun Kumar, who is a havildar in Army and funded his education. He came to AIIMS Trauma Centre mortuary from Allahabad on Thursday afternoon to claim his brother's body. Arun maintained that it is hard for his family to believe that Aakash could do such a gruesome thing. later, the body was airlifted to Gaya in Bihar, where it would be cremated.

Aakash's roommate said that he was a silent, calm and composed boy. “We stayed together all the time and never fought. I just had one issue with him, I used to get disturbed as he got many calls. I asked him to go elsewhere and speak, and he politely obliged to it,” he said.

Aakash spoke to his family on the day of the incident. He was yet to enroll for his third year.
