A Delhi Police Head Constable's son was stabbed allegedly by unidentified men after his motorcycle touched their scooter in south Delhi's lado Sarai on Sunday evening.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, south district, Chinmoy Biswal, said, the incident was reported on Sunday night at around 8.45 pm. Prince Tewatia and his friend Paras Sharma were returning from work when they had an altercation with four boys near Hanuman Mandir, lado Sarai.
Tewatia then dropped off his friend at lado Sarai and then proceeded towards his home in Saidulajab when he was allegedly attacked by four persons, whom he had an altercation with. “After stabbing him multiple times, they fled from the spot. Tewatia, however, managed to call up Sharma and informed him that he had been attacked. His friend alerted the police who reached the spot and found that Tewatia had already been taken to hospital,” said the additional DCP.
The victim's friend, Sharma, told the police that they work at a call centre in Udyog Vihar in Gurugram. They were returning on a motorcycle when they saw four persons standing in the middle of the road along with their two scooters, the police said.
Tewatia asked them to give way but they refused. He managed to leave from there but his motorcycle grazed one of the scooters the accused were on, they added. He then dropped his friend home but within five minutes he called his friend to inform him that he had been stabbed. The police said that Tewatia was thrashed and then stabbed many times. He was admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
