Reacting on AAP Minister’s financial transaction controversy, BJP State president Satish Upadhyay said media reports are indicating that the matter is of hawala or money rotation.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has come under the Income Tax department scanner for allegedly transferring nearly Rs 17 crore through hawala channels.

Upadhyay said after Jain’s admission that he has had dealings with the disputed companies, not much remains to be inquired. “The Minister’s statement that the investments he made were before the elections does not undermine the gravity of his economic offence,” he said.

According to RP Singh, National Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, the facts stated by Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain are not true and said it is a clear case of converting black money into white money with the help of hawala operators.

“It is a clear case of converting black money into white with the help of hawala operator, Jasvinder Mishra from Kolkata who was operating 136 companies from single room,” Singh said.

He said Jain was a share holder in Akinchan Developers Pvt ltd from 2008 to 2013. Also, Jain had 23 per cent share holding stake as per AGM dated September 9, 2012.

“In the year 2009, 9 fraud companies operating from one room of 3rd floor of 85 NS Road Kolkata from where they bought share of Rs 10 in Akinchan Developers Pvt ltd at a premium of approx Rs 500 at the time when the company was in losses. The amount received from the fraud companies was invested in buying land worth Rs 4.5 crore in 2009,” he said.

RP Singh said Poonam Jain, Satyender’s wife is still a stake holder in this company.
