The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a reminder to the members of committee that was constituted to furnish report on leadership Improvement Training Programme held at Cambridge University, United Kingdom (UK). The reminder issued by the DoE on November 1, has asked the committee to submit its report at the earliest as the same has already been delayed.
In December last year, about 80 principals and vice-principals of Delhi Government schools were sent for 11-day training programme at Cambridge University. A four-member committee was constituted in July this year and a report was sought on the direction of the lieutenant-Governor. The committee was constituted to assess the benefits of the leadership training programme.
Among the members of committee, were two deputy directors of education, one regional director and one additional director. However, members of committee could not be reached for their comments.
Further, the reminder says that the committee was requested to submit a consolidated report within 21 days of the issue of order however, report is still awaited. The report that would be an assessment of the benefits of sending head of schools to the Cambridge University for training programme will be then submitted to the lieutenant Governor.
