Two brothers, reportedly in their 30s, have been found dead in their house in Noida Sector 56 on Sunday. According to the police, the siblings were said to be suffering from a mental disability and lived alone.
The victims have been identified as Amit (36) and his younger brother Sumit Dabra (34). One was found hanging while the other was lying in bed. Police said the bodies of the siblings were discovered after a neighbour noticed a foul smell coming from the house and alerted the police. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
Police reached their house and found that the gate was closed from inside. “We broke open the door and found Amit hanging from an iron rod while Sumit was lying in bed. The state of decay indicated that the brothers had been dead for at least a couple of days,” said the police.
According to the neighbours, both were living recluse life and hardly interacted. Only Rohit, an engineer by profession, took care of them till he shifted to Gurgaon last month. After he left, they were dependent on just milk, pizza and takeaways.
Police have informed Rohit about the incident. Their father Virendra Dabra died due to heart attack in 1996 followed by their mother who committed suicide. Since then both the brothers were disturbed. Sumit has done MCA but both the brothers were unemployed.
