A 38-year-old property dealer was found dead in a drain near his residence in Ghaziabad. Police said the deceased identified as Bagesh Sharma (38) a resident of Noor Nagar Sihani was found lying in the drain with his throat slit by a sharp edged weapon.
“Bagesh dealt in finance and property from his office in Krishna Kunj in Nandgram area. His scooter, bathroom slippers and shawl was found lying on the spot,” said a senior police official.
The brother of the deceased Brahmesh Sharma told The Pioneer that the Bhagesh’s wife call him around 5:00 am on Friday and said that Bagesh was missing since last night following which I informed the police.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Sihani gate police station, Sanjay Pandey said that the family of the victim has lodged the complaint in which they have accused Bagesh’s business rival Sonu Chaudhary for his murder.
“A case has been registered under appropriate sections. Body has been sent for autopsy and the investigation has been initiated. The police team is also scanning CCTV footage in the area to identify the accused. The team will also question Sonu Chaudhary,” said the SHO .
