Ready to lay down my life for India, CM says day after attack

A day after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP's) youth wing members allegedly vandalised property outside Delhi Chief Minister’s residence, Arvind Kejriwal said that he is ready to sacrifice his life if it helps uplift society and he is not important, the country is. Kejriwal asked what would youth of country learn if party that calls itself biggest party of the world was indulging in hooliganism in  national Capital? “These acts make youth think that this country will never get developed. If we have to build an India of 21st century then everyone needs to work with love and harmony; only then can this country progress,” said Kejriwal. The Chief Minister described such hooliganism as a hindrance to progress of country. Replying to a media query raised during an event at IP Depot, the Chief Minister said, “Kejriwal is not important. I am an insignificant man when it comes to the larger contexts. I am a simple aam aadmi. I am ready to sacrifice my life for the greater good of the country if it helps.” “But I strongly believe that such hooliganism will not aid in growth of our motherland. If we have to tread on path of development, build an India of 21st Century, then we need to live in a society that believes in love, peace, harmony and brotherhood,” said Kejriwal.“We wasted 75 whole years in this cheap politics of hatred, violence and hooliganism. What does it say about our country and our politics if biggest party of India, the one which rules our union, acts like this? What will youth think about its leaders? They will think this is the right way and they should adopt it too. This would only hinder path of our development,” said Kejriwal.      SR

“Yesterday, my house was attacked. I am ready to sacrifice my life for the country. I'm not important. This country is important. This kind of hooliganism is not right. Will this country progress if such things happen? Let us all work together for the country,” Kejriwal wrote on Twitter in Hindi.
