A woman journalist with Rajya Sabha TV in Delhi was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her residence in Ghaziabad. The incident occurred on Monday midnight in Mahagun Magic Apartments, Vaishali, under Indirapuram police station.
Police said the woman Milita Dutta Mandal (31), a producer in Rajya Sabha TV, was found in a critically injured state on the basement of the apartment block. A resident of flat 809 at Mahagun Magic Apartments in Sector 4 Vaishali, Milita reached her residence around 11.00 pm. At 11.30 pm, residents heard screams and found her writhing on the basement. Her two-and-half year old baby girl was wailing. Her husband, Surya Jyoti Mandal, who works in a private company in Sector 62 in Noida, and residents,
rushed her to Max Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
“Prima facie, it seems she was pushed around by her husband in a fit of rage. The 8th floor balcony too is wrecked,” said SP City Shiv Hari Meena.
