light rain in some parts of the national Capital on Wednesday afternoon failed to bring respite to residents from high humidity as the maximum temperature settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius, average for the season, said a MeT official.
Indian Metrological Department official said the city recorded 1.4 mm rainfall at Safdarjung Observatory while in Aayanagar 61.6mm, Palam 17.2mm and 35 mm in Ridge area was recorded. “Generally cloudy sky with mode-rate rain likely to occur on Thurs-day,” said an IMD official.
