With focus on regularisation of unauthorised colonies, ensuring basic amenities and decongesting major stretches, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from South Delhi and party's Delhi convener, Gopal Rai, on Monday launched specific manifesto for South Delhi constituency.

The 34-page manifesto for South Delhi entitled "It's "Time For Change". It includes promises that the AAP MP from South Delhi will use the resources to combat pollution caused by crop-burning in other States and arrive at an inter-state solution. Besides, a push for an automated and systematic water wastage monitoring system and setting up Mahila Panchayats in the constituency's unauthorised colonies to train women about legal issues and laws related to crimes against women.

Talking about challenges in South Delhi constituency, Raghav Chadha  said the real challenge is to provide basic essential services to the people. For 70 years, Congress and BJP politicians did not provide these basic services like roads or sewerage facilities such as sewage, water and sanitation." He further said that he would also ensure that all unauthorised colonies would be regularised, including Asia's largest unauthorised colony of Sangam Vihar.

"An issue in South Delhi that needs to be addressed is the gundaraj of BJP leaders. They attack our brothers from Purvanchal, misbehave with women and discriminate with Dalits." I will not be scared, nor will I let bullies scare others)," he said.

"With the same determination and willpower, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has done revolutionary infrastructural changes of government school and revamped education in Delhi. I will end lawlessness in south Delhi and create such robust law and order situation that even if our sisters and mothers step out in the middle of the night, no one will dare so much as to catcall them," he said.

Lambasting Congress and BJP, Chadha said the both the parties win elections in the name of providing water, but do nothing once elected. In total contrast, the AAP Government under Kejriwal in the last four years gave water through pipelines to 90 per cent of the areas of South Delhi and vowed the remaining 10 per cent areas would have piped water over the next one year.

The manifesto vowed to add new bus routes. Further, the 30-year-old AAP candidate said that as an MP he would ensure that metro work would start in South Delhi within 100 days and address the traffic problems of the major road arteries of South Delhi including the busy Mehrauli-Badarpur and Gurgaon-Badarpur roads.
