In a boost to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), musicians Kailash Kher and Rabbi Shergill on Friday joined the party. Giving his first public appearance as an AAP member at a public meeting organised in Hari Nagar on Friday, Shergill promised to campaign for the party to garner support for it.

Shergill, a Delhiite who shot to fame with his song Bullah ki jaana fame said, “I am really excited that movement for direct democracy is shaping out well in my hometown. I am glad to contribute my bit in the movement.” The support of this 38-year-old singer is expected to benefit AAP in connecting with the Sikh and Punjabi communities ahead of the December 4 elections.
