The much-talked about visit of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to Ghaziabad has been deferred yet again. The official visit of Akhilesh would be on January 29. The Chief Minister’s Office has sent an inter-departmental communiqué to the district administration. The preparation for Akhilesh’s visit has been going on for quite some as the high-profile visit was rescheduled earlier for January 22.
“Although the official rescheduled programme is yet to arrive in black and white, the district telephonic communication has arrived to reschedule the Chief Minister’s visit for January 29,” said SC Gaur, chief architect and town planner (CATP) of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), the nodal agency of the CM’s visit.
After rescheduling the programme from January 22 to 24, the CM Secretariat rescheduled the visit in view of Republic Day celebrations to January 29, added the CATP. The UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had given his consent to be the chief guest at the launching of over Rs3,600 crore projects, including the digging of first pillar of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Dilshad Garden to New Bus Stand extension at Ghaziabad.
The State administration has asked the district administration to ensure that Meerut tri-junction is fully secured where Akhilesh is expected to launch various projects and address the public on the inauguration of Delhi Metro. In addition to these projects, Akhilesh is also scheduled to inaugurate a high-profile police control room (PCR) to monitor the entire traffic system of the city, including Trans-Hindon colonies like Indirapuram via CCTV cameras.
