Delhi Traffic Police has made elaborate arrangement for the smooth passage of the Republic Day celebration at Rajpath. The march past of the three services, central paramilitary forces, Delhi Police followed by various tableaux and schoolchildren will start at 9 am from Vijay Chowk and will culminate at Red Fort ground.
Garima Bhatnagar, Joint Commissioner of Police, (Traffic HQ) said, “General public and motorists are requested to keep patience, observe traffic rules & road discipline and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections. People are requested to plan their journey in advance and keep sufficient time in hand to avoid inconvenience.”
In order to facilitate smooth passage of the Parade, movement of traffic on certain roads leading to the route of the Parade will be restricted and therefore the public should pre plan their routes.
The movement of vehicles will not be allowed from 10 am till parade is over on Vijay chowk, Rajpath, Janpath and Man Singh Road,” Bhatnagar said.
