A 33-year-old manager of a private company killed while two others injured in a road accident in Noida on Friday. The deceased, identified as Amit Shrivastav, along with his two colleagues Vikrant Sharma and Sudhir Dubey, was going towards his home when iron rods protruding from a truck pierced through his car causing death and injuries. A case has been filed in Sector 58 police station. The driver of the truck fled from the spot just after the incident.
The accident took place around 7 am near Sector 60 when the victims were coming from their company after finishing the duty and approaching towards Sector 52 in Noida. Due to over speed of the car, Amit Shrivastav, who was driving the car, did not witness a truck, standing at a road side, in front of his car and made a desperate attempt to save themselves causing the incident. Amit died at the spot while two of his friends faced head and hand injuries and were shifted to nearby Jagdamba Hospital.
According to a police official, the accident happened due to negligence of the truck driver and over speed of the car as well. “We are searching the truck driver, who escaped from the spot along with the papers of the vehicle, as his negligence is witnessing clearly. Atleast he should mark something behind his truck so people get informed that the vehicle was loaded with iron rods. On the other hand, the car of the deceased was also over speeding,” said Vishwajeet Shrivastav, Circle Officer-II, Noida.
Deceased Amit Shrivastav, a resident of Jhunjhunu in Rajsthan, temporarily living in Sector 52 in Noida. He was an HR manager working with a Noida-based call centre company named as IBC.
