“Garima had suffered a compound fracture to her skull and had sustained multiple fractures on her body,” her relatives said.
Pradeep, told The Pioneer, “Garima breathed her last at around 4.30 am on Tuesday. We have donated her eyes and a portion of her heart at the hospital where she was undergoing treatment.”
“We feel that it is the right decision to donate Garima’s organs. We intended to donate her entire body but the doctors told us that as she had sustained extremely grievous injuries on her body, only the eyes and a portion of the heart which was functioning till the end due to the stents can be donated,” added Pradeep.
Talking about Garima, another relative confided that she was a simple and hard working girl.
“Garima was a self-reliant person. She just wanted to study and make her family proud. Even before her Business Organisation exam, Garima had pulled an all nighter,” the family member said.
