A prostitution racket, operating from a spa and massage centre in Sahara Mall, was busted on Saturday evening. Twelve women along with three customers were arrested and booked under different sections of Immoral Trafficking Act.

A police official said a raid was conducted at the mall premises by a police team led by inspector Vishal Kumar after an information about illegal activities was received. The police team reached the spot  around 7.30 pm and took 12 women and three customers who were soliciting sex. Investigation revealed that the spa would charge Rs1,000 to Rs2,000 per customer for the services. The massage centre is owned by a Delhi-based businessman, the police said.

For the last many days, the police was receiving complaints about a prostitution racket being carried out in the spa. “At the time of the raid, several rooms in the centre were occupied where women and men were found in objectionable positions. Rooms were also found locked from inside,” police said.
