A 41-year-old property dealer was shot dead by a group of people who had come in a car in Southwest Delhi's Dwarka North area on Wednesday night, according to police. The attack was captured on a CCTV camera installed outside a shop that showed three people opening fire at the property dealer sitting in Hyundai i10. Police have suspected a personal enmity behind the attack.

The deceased identified as Ravinder alias Raghu was the resident of outer Delhi's Kakrola area. He was a property dealer and ran an office in West Delhi's Uttam Nagar area.

On late Wednesday, he was returning to his home after shutting his office. He was travelling in his Hyundai i10 when another Maruti Swift car overtook him and signaled him to stop.

As he stopped his car at the roadside near Old Palam Road, three men got off the Swift and started firing at Ravinder, police said. The firing continued for at least 30 seconds by the three persons who wore masks.

They fired at least 12 bullets at Ravinder from a very close range, said police, adding the attacker immediately sat in their car and sped away from the spot.

A passerby informed the police and a PCR van reached the spot rushed Ravinder to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have recovered five cartridges from the spot.

Deputy Commissioner of Police RA Sanjeev told The Pioneer that they have registered a case at Dwarka North Police station and trying to identify the attackers.

Ravinder's family told police that he had a dispute with some persons over a plot of land in Mitraon village in Najafgarh. Police suspects the murder was the outcome of the land dispute but also not ruled out the other angles.
