As per instructions of the Supreme Court-Appointed Monitoring Committee, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has sealed 54 properties at 260 points for misusing in stilt parking areas in central zone.
A senior SDMC official said the building department on Tuesday sealed 24 properties at 110 points in Sukhdev Vihar and New Friends’ Colony and other 30 properties at 150 points in Kalkaji for ongoing misuse in the stilt parking areas where unauthorised servant quarters and small rooms existed.
Traders in the national Capital have been hit hard after building department of the municipal corporations had started sealing business establishments for non-payment of conversion charges, encroachment and illegal construction on the instructions of the Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee.
Thousands of shops have been sealed since last December and there is still no sigh of relief amid all the alleged coordinated efforts put up by all concerned stakeholders.
